Cables

It is recommended that shielded twisted 4 pair cable be used for the
wiring between Comfort and the keypads to avoid interference from
mains wiring and electrical appliances from causing noise on the
microphone and keypad wires.

Jumper Settings

JP4 – 3 pin header for Backlight selection. "Normal" position for
backlight on when key is pressed, Entry Alert or Alarm. "On"
position is used to switch Backlight permanently on. The default
setting is "Normal".
JP6 – Keypad key Beep volume. It is shorted for louder beep volume.
It is not shorted by default (i.e. soft).
JP7 – Tamper Shunt. It is shorted to disable tamper switch. Shorted
by default.
SW1 – set according to the ID of the keypad (see "Keypad ID
Switch" settings).

Keypad ID Switch

Comfort is able to support up to 8 keypads (KP01/KP02/KP03/KP04) in
any combination. SW1 is a set of 4 headers which is used to determine
the ID, in accordance to the table below:

* SW1-D should be shorted as it is planned for future developments.
In the Comfigurator software, the number of keypads must be set to equal
the maximum (ID) number of keypads in the system.

LED Indicators

Off (Green)
Steady
Security off mode, all conditions are normal (no trouble
conditions present).
Blinking
Trouble condition present, e.g. line cut, communication
failure. The Trouble Condition is displayed on the LCD.
