In the event of a short circuit on the output, the absolute magnitude of current

that can be supplied through Q7 and Q8 from C13 and C14 is less than that re

quired to destroy either Q7 or Q8. Capacitors CIS and C14 charge back to the

B+ voltage through R28 in the absence of any input pulse.

The output impedance of this loop is approximately one ohm. If an output impe

dance greater than one ohm is desired, the short wire between points R and S on

the circuit board can be replaced with a resistor of the desired value.
