Installation / Electrical connection

Installation

During installation of the spot, it should be ensured to leave a space of approx. 4 cm

around the heat sink. The spot can be installed on vertical or horizontal surfaces.

Loosen the mounting bracket by loosening the two Allen screws from the spot.

Bring the mounting bracket into the desired position and mark the two oblong

holes on the mounting surface. Drill the two mounting holes into the surface

using a suitable drill with 6 mm in diameter and insert dowels into the holes. The

dowels included in the scope of delivery are suitable for installation in concrete,

stone and masonry. In case of wooden substrates the mounting bracket can

directly fixed using the supplied screw, without the dowel. In case of hardwood the

holes may require pre-drilling.

Position the mounting bracket over the dowel and screw it down with the supplied

screws. The oblong holes allow to carry out fine adjustments.

Now, the clar 50/100 can be attached to the mounting bracket. Please observe

the order of the fastening elements: A plastic washer is put between the spot and

the bracket and directly under the screw head, there is a lock washer. After align-

ment of the sport, tighten the Allen screws using the Allen key supplied.

Electrical connection

Carry out the cable connection according to the following drawing. The power supply

should be installed near the spot, in a place which is protected from weather conditions

like sun, snows and rain. The connection of the power supply is to be carried out via the

shockproof plug, or directly in a suitable junction box or connection sleeve. Connections

must only be carried by a qualified expert!

Apply the mains voltage only after connecting the spot to the power supply. Hand tighten

the knurled nut at the connection plug - when tightening the nut, there must be detect-

able engaging.
