manufactured by D.P.I. s.r.l. Technical alterations of the POLIBLITZ ABEK 15 escape respirator are not allowed.
1.1 Before using POLIBLITZ ABEK 15 escape respirators, users must ensure that all the instructions in this manual are read, understood
and followed.
1.2 POLIBLITZ ABEK 15 escape respirators have been specifically designed for the use described in this manual.
1.3 The D.P.I. s.r.l. standard warranty indicates the full extent of the liability of D.P.I. s.r.l.. D.P.I. s.r.l. will not accept liability for any
damages caused by:
a) checks on the integrity of the container and of the seal have not been carried out periodically and in any case before use;
b) the respirator has been tampered or not stored according to the conditions indicated in this manual;
c) the respirator has not been used properly.
1.4 D.P.I. s.r.l. will not accept liability for any damages caused by failure to abide by the aforementioned provisions.
1.5 For everything which has not been mentioned above, the general conditions of this warranty apply. In the event that you don't know
the conditions of the contract, D.P.I. s.r.l. will send further information upon written request.
This instruction manual provides information on the use of POLIBLITZ ABEK 15 self rescue escape respirator, helping to prevent risks to the
respiratory tracts due to the exposure to toxic substances (gases, vapours and dusts) eventually present in the surrounding atmosphere.
Filtering respirators are devices subject to limited time duration of protection and provide protection against specific toxic substances in
specific conditions of use explained in the present manual. Pay also special attention to the correct storage conditions of the device.
Comply with Laws, Norms and regulations in force in the specific country of use of the respirator concerning respiratory protective devices.

Field of application
POLIBLITZ ABEK 15 is a self rescue respirator assuring a high level of protection of the respiratory tract against various gases of the A, B, E
and K class. The interval of temperatures of use is from +2°C to +55°C.
In the box here below is shown the specific marking of POLIBLITZ ABEK 15 "Ex".

The components
POLIBLITZ ABEK 15 is made up of the following components:
• POLIMASK 230 half-mask, CE approved complying with EN 140: 1998 Standard;
• 230 B1E1K1 filter, CE approved as B1, E1, and K1 class and type complying with EN 14387:08 Standard and tested for A, B, E and K types
according to DIN 58647-7:1997 Standard, concerning "Escape Respirators", as a 15-minutes class device;
• synthetic resin sealed container for the device to be carried on the belt. it can also be hung on the wall ready for use in case of
emergency;
• these instructions for use;
• packaging.
The device case is equipped with a metallic hook to belt-carry or hang on the wall POLIBLITZ ABEK 15, ready for use.

Protection capacity against toxic substances
The POLIBLITZ ABEK 15 escape respirator, has been certified by Italcert - Viale Sarca, 336 - 20126 Milan - Italy - (Notified Body n. 0426) in
compliance with DIN 58647-7 Norm, and resulted to be a 15 minute class device, therefore granting, in test condition specified in the
Norm, filter duration higher than minimum shown in the following table:
