Operating instructions

Proper use / warranty

•

The solar lights are designed to decorate outdoor areas around

the home, terrace, balcony and garden. The storage battery charg-

es during the daytime via the solar cell ﬁ eld. The accumulated en-

ergy allows the LED lights to illuminate at night.

•

The product is designed for private use and is not intended for

commercial use. Only use the product as instructed. Any other use

is deemed improper. Store the instructions in a safe place.

•

Defects arising due to improper handling, damage or attempts at

repair are excluded from the warranty. This also applies to normal

wear and tear.

Important notes

❐ Attention! Danger of suffocation! Keep the packaging material

away from children and pets.

❐ The product is not a toy! Keep children and pets away from the

product to avoid injuries.

❐ Do not disassemble the product (except for removing the storage

battery prior to disposal of the solar unit). Only have the product

repaired by a qualiﬁ ed workshop or by customer service.

❐ If a storage battery has leaked, ensure that the battery acid does

not come into contact with your skin, eyes, and mucous mem-

branes. In case of contact with battery acid, rinse the affected areas

immediately with plenty of clean water and seek immediate medi-

cal attention.

❐ Storage batteries may not be disassembled, disposed of in ﬁ re, im-

mersed in liquids or short circuited.

❐ Do not allow the product to fall and do not subject it to severe

percussions.

❐ Do not use the product if it exhibits visible damages.

❐ Never submerge the product in water or other liquids! It is only

splash-proof.

❐ In the event of extreme weather conditions (e.g. storm, hail) or if

you do not intend to use the product for a prolonged period of

time, turn off the solar unit and store the product in a dry place.

❐ Ensure that the solar ﬁ eld is always clean in order to ensure the

greatest possible collection of light. Therefore, clean it occasionally

with a damp cloth. Do not use corrosive or abrasive cleaning

products to clean the product! They could damage the surface.

❐ To enable an automatic activation of the LED lights the solar lights

may not be situated near other light sources such as street lamps

or other lamps.

Activation and deactivation

•

The On/Off switch is located next to the solar ﬁ eld. Push it to turn

the solar unit on and off.

•

If you would like to check whether the solar unit is on during the

day, cover the solar ﬁ eld with your hand. If the LED illuminates the

solar unit is on.

Start-up

The solar unit's storage battery must charge for approxi-

mately 6 to 8 hours in order for the LED lights to illuminate.

1. Unpack the product contents and remove all protective wrappers

(e.g. from the solar ﬁ eld) and stickers, if present. Check all parts

for possible transport damages. Should you identify any transport

damages, please promptly consult customer service.

2. Locate the solar lights in a place where they are exposed to as

much direct sunlight as possible for the entire day (ideally in open

areas, not underneath trees etc.). Ensure that they do not pose a

tripping hazard.

3. Activate the solar units.

Sunlight will now charge the storage batteries of the solar units. At

dusk, the LED lights will automatically turn on. At dawn, the LED lights

turn off and the storage batteries recharges via the solar ﬁ elds.

Disposal

The packaging material can be recycled. Dispose of the pack-

aging in an environmentally-friendly manner and make it avail-

able for the recyclable material collection-service.

Dispose of the product in an environmentally-friendly man-

ner. The product does not belong in the household garbage.

Dispose of it at a recycling centre for old electrical and elec-

tronic appliances. For more information, please contact the

administration in your community.

Batteries and storage batteries must be removed and dis-

posed of separately before disposing of the product. To

protect the environment, batteries and storage batteries may

not be disposed of together with normal household waste.

Instead they must be turned in at collection points. Be sure

to observe applicable legal regulations on battery disposal.

Removing the storage battery

Loosen the screws of the solar unit. Afterwards, you can carefully re-

move the storage battery.
