Intended Use

The solar light is intended to be used for decorating outside

spaces. Its battery charges up in daylight via the solar panel.

This stored energy allows the LEDs to glow in the dark.

The article is designed for personal use only and is not intend-

ed for commercial applications. The article should only be used

as described in these instructions. Any other use is deemed to

be improper. Store the instructions in a safe place.

•

The following are excluded from the warranty: all defects

caused by improper handling, damage or unauthorised at-

tempts at repair. This also applies to normal wear and tear.

IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS

The article is not a toy. Do not leave children and animals un-

supervised with the article, in order to avoid injuries!

■

WARNING – Danger of Suffocation! Keep the packaging ma-

terial well away from children and animals.

■

CAUTION – Danger of Burns from Battery Acid! If the bat-

tery leaks, avoid physical contact with the battery acid. Wear

protective gloves if necessary. If you touch battery acid, rinse

the affected area with abundant fresh water immediately and

contact a doctor as soon as possible.

■

Protect the article from naked ﬂ ames and impact.

■

During extreme weather conditions (e.g. storm, hail) or if the

article will not be used for a long time, switch it off and store it

in a dry place.

■

Do not disassemble the article! Have any repairs done only by

a specialist workshop or the customer service department. The

LEDs can't be replaced.

■

The solar lamp should not be placed near to other light sources

such as street lamps or other lamps, so that the LEDs can be

switched on automatically.

■

Keep the solar panel clean so that the greatest possible ab-

sorption of light is ensured. Wipe down the solar panel (and if

necessary also the remaining components of the article) with a

damp cloth. Do not use any corrosive or abrasive cleaning

agents to clean the article! They could damage the surfaces.

Putting Into Operation

The batteries have to be charged before the LEDs can light up. To

make sure that the batteries lasts for as long as possible, it should

be fully charged (around 6 - 8 hours).

1. Unpack the items supplied and check them for completeness

and for possible transport damage. In the event of transport

damage, please contact the customer service department.

2. Remove any protective foil (e.g. from the solar panel) and stick-

ers.

3. Place a solar light in a location where its solar panel can absorb

as much direct sunlight as possible.

4. Press the ON / OFF switch in order to activate the solar units.

In order to check if the solar lights are switched on during the

daylight, cover the solar panels with your hand. If the LEDs light

up, the solar lights are activated.

The batteries can now charge up in daylight. When darkness

sets in, the LEDs automatically switch on. When it gets light,

the LEDs switch off and the batteries are charged up via the

solar panel.

5. When you are not using them, switch the articles off (press the

ON / OFF switches) and store them in a dry place that is protect-

ed from sunlight and is not accessible to children and animals.
