Prior to fi rst use
1. Unpack the product. Check that the product contents are
complete and that they do not exhibit any transport damages.
Should you identify any transport damages, do not use the pro-
duct (!), instead please promptly consult the customer service.
Hold onto the packaging to store the product when not in use.
2. The battery is already inserted in the remote control when de-
livered and has a transport guard. Take the protective strip out
of the remote control.
3. Unfold the Christmas star and insert the light chain (see sec-
tion "Preparing the Christmas star").
Inserting/changing batteries
Light chain
1. To open the battery compartment, gently
push the battery compartment cover (towards
the cord).
2. Take off the cover and insert the batteries.
In the process, make sure that the polarity is
correct (+/–).
3. Put the cover back on the battery compart-
ment and push it until it locks into place.

4. Note for 60 cm-stars: Push the ON / OFF-botton on the battery
compartment into position ON. Now you can activate or deac-
tivate the star by using the remote control.
Remote control
The batteries have already been inserted upon delivery and have
been provided with a transport guard. Remove the protective strip
before fi rst use.
1. Open the battery compartment on the back side of the remote
control.
2. If necessary, remove the used battery and insert a new 3 V
battery (type CR2025). In the process, make sure that the po-
larity is correct (+/–).
3. Then close the battery compartment.
Preparing the Christmas star
1. Carefully unfold the Christmas star.

Operation
You can now activate and deactivate the light chain in the Christ-
mas star using the remote control.
1. Push the ON button (on) on the remote control to activate the
light chain.
2. Push the OFF button (off) on the remote control to turn the light
chain off.

The packaging material is recyclable. Dispose of the pack-
aging in an environmentally-friendly manner and make it
available to the collection service for recyclable materials.

ner. The product does not belong in the household gar-
bage. Dispose of it at a recycling centre for old electric and
electrical equipment. For more information, please contact
the administration in your community.
Batteries must be removed and disposed of separately be-
fore disposing of the product. To protect the environment,
batteries and rechargeable batteries may not be disposed
of together with normal household waste. Instead they
must be turned in at appropriate collection points. Please
also observe applicable statutory provisions regulating the
disposal of batteries.

3. Completely close the Christmas star
by pulling the string tight using the
fastener.
4. Select a place, where you want to
hang the star and install the desired
mounting materials there. Please be
absolutely sure to observe the fol-
