As a totally new and unique invention, the Free Spool function is integrated in the spool itself, can be

preset in 11 rest positions and can be activated / deactivated by a half turn of the drag knob. The main

drag force can also be pre-selected and the whole spool can be changed within seconds by a simple push

button system.

the adjustment of the integrated freespool and drag function works as follows:

Before using the reel please check the preset freespool and drag resistance by turning the drag knob (B) to

the marked zero position (0). This position at the same time marks the lowest possible freespool and drag

resistance.

By turning the drag knob (B) in direction of the up to 10 increasing numbers (B+) the freespool as well as

drag force is increasing. Depending on the presetting of the inner knurled screw (A) the whole range of

freespool and drag force resistance (A+/A-) can be adjusted.

While 0 has a constantly low freespool resistance, independent from the selected maximum drag force, the

freespool and drag force from 1 to 10 varies according to the presetting.

The maximum axial drag force is limited to 8 kg. Through the line roller and rod this force is almost doubled.

After the successful presetting to the intended maximum drag force turn the drag knob to a medium position

(like 5) and cast. Then bring your rod in suitable position and turn the drag knob to the freespool position (0)

or in need of a higher resistance also to 1 or 2. At a strike turn the drag knob back to a medium position

(like 5) and set the hook. If necessary you can now vary the drag force through the drag knob up to the

preset maximum force.

FSX always provides enough drag force, even for big fish and braided lines.
