Hi-Force TLE50 ToughLift Jacking Systems should be serviced and repaired only by authorised Hi-Force

repair centres. The following table gives possible causes and solutions for common problems.

Problem

1. Pump will not start.

2. Motor stalls before full

operating pressure is

reached.

3. Pump struggles to

build pressure or

maintain pressure

under load.

4. Pump running hot.

5. Cylinder will not

advance.

6. Cylinder advances part

way.

TROUBLESHOOTING GUIDE

Possible Cause

a. Power supply not connected.

b. Damaged power cord.

c. Circuit breaker tripped.

d. Blown fuse.

e. Motor is damaged, seized or worn.

a. Low supply voltage.

a. Oil level too low

b. External oil leak in the system.

a. Low oil level.

b. High-Pressure leakage at pump.

a. Pump malfunction.

b. Oil level too low.

c. Load too heavy for the cylinder.

d. Cylinder seals leaking.

e. Faulty control pendant.

b. Cylinder piston binding.

c. External obstruction.

Solution

Connect power supply.

Repair or replace the power cord.

i. Reset Circuit breaker.

ii. Ensure breaker is adequately rated.

Replace blown fuse.
