6. MAINTENANCE AND STORAGE
With correct installation and operation, Smart 45 does not need regular
maintenance.
During periods of inactivity, the pump must be disconnected from the power
supply and placed in a dry location.
Proceed as follows;
1. Switch off the pump using on/off button.
2. Disconnect from the power supply.
3. Open a tap to release pressure in the pipe system.
4. Close the isolating valves and drain the pipes.
5. Gradually loosen the priming plug to release the pressure in the pump.
6. Remove the drain plug to drain the pump.
POSSIBLE CAUSE
Delivery height too big
Pressure line diameter too small
Suction opening is blocked
Pressure line is kinked
Pressure line leaks
Pump drawing in air
SOLUTION
Readjust to allowable delivery height
Use pressure line with larger
diameter
Clean suction opening
Straighten pressure line
Seal pressure line and tighten
threaded connections
Ensure there is sufficient water at
suction
