GENERAL INFORMATION
The Ultimate Floorstanding Lamp provides light, magnification,
chart/pattern holding facility and a storage tray. The accessories
may be removed when not required converting the lamp into an
attractive sitting room lamp. It is supplied in self assembly form
– Please follow the instructions below for quick and easy
assembly.
SETTING UP YOUR LAMP
• Carefully unpack the lamp. You should have the following
parts:
Weighted Base
Base Pole

Main Assembly
An electrical cable fitted with a foot switch and plug

20w ES(E27) Energy Saving Bulb
Flexible Arm with 1.75X magnification lens.
Flexible Arm with chart/pattern holder clip.
Storage Tray with transparent lid.
• Assemble the lamp as follows:
- Screw the Base Pole
taking care not to cross the threads. Ensure that the pole is
tight.
- Screw the short pole
- Screw the Main Assembly (

. Ensure the assembly is screwed tight. Also
take care not to tangle the cable. If it does get tangled
make sure it is untangled before the lamp is used.
- Unscrew the Shade Securing Ring
at the end of the curved pole
into position. Replace and tighten the Shade Securing
Ring
- Screw in the 20w Energy Saving Bulb
BY THE PLASTIC BASE NOT THE GLASS PART. DO NOT
OVERTIGHTEN.
- If required, insert the flexible arms with lens
attachments into the holes on the Accessory Supports
either side Lower Mount
- If required, fit the Tray
The tray should be offered up to the pole at 45°, hooked
on to the pole, rotated to a horizontal position and locked
in place with the latch. It should be fitted to the Fixed Pole

at any height between the Lower Mount

- Your lamp is now ready for use.
OPERATION
Plug the lamp into a convenient electrical socket and switch on
using the footswitch. The height may be adjusted by pressing in
the button

To enhance the look of the lamp the Accessory Supports
used to hold the magnifier and clip may be removed. Pull the
flexible arms
off the supports then unscrew and remove them. Re-fit the End
Caps

CLEANING
CAUTION: BEFORE CLEANING UNPLUG THE LAMP FROM
THE ELECTRICAL SUPPLY.
• If the lamp requires cleaning simply dust it to keep it clean.
• If the shade becomes dirty remove the bulb and the shade.
Clean the shade with a soft cloth or in warm soapy water.
Thoroughly dry the shade before re-fitting.
• Take particular care when cleaning the high quality acrylic
lens. To avoid scratches use only a soft cloth dampened with
warm soapy water. NEVER USE AN ABRASIVE CLEANER.
Take care not to touch the lens with sharp objects.
• The tray may be cleaned with a soft cloth or in warm soapy

water. Thoroughly dry before re-fitting to the lamp.

• Do not use metal polish or spray cleaners on your lamp as
they will damage the surface.
REPLACING THE DAYLIGHT BULB
• Always switch off and remove the plug from the mains supply
and allow the lamp to cool before changing the bulb. NEVER
touch the bulb while the lamp is switched on.
• The lamp is supplied with a 20w watt (equivalent to a 100w
Tungsten Bulb), E27 screw fitting Low Heat Daylight
Simulation Bulb. (This type of bulb is more suitable for
detailed work rather than a hot tungsten bulb)
THE MAXIMUM WATTAGE BULB THE LAMP CAN ACCEPT IS
A 60W TUNGSTEN BULB - DO NOT USE BULBS OF A HIGHER
WATTAGE , THIS WILL DAMAGE YOUR LAMP AND INVALIDATE
YOUR GUARANTEE.

• Replacement Daylight Simulation Bulbs can be obtained
direct from your local stockist. Code No: D15200.
• Simply unscrew the old bulb and screw in the new bulb.
GRIP THE BULB BY THE PLASTIC BASE NOT THE GLASS
PART. DO NOT OVERTIGHTEN.
• The old bulb should be re-cycled where local facilities are
available.
SAFETY
WARNING: DO NOT LEAVE THE LENS UNATTENDED IN DIRECT
SUNLIGHT AS THIS CONSTITUTES A FIRE HAZARD. ALWAYS
REMOVE THE LENS FLEXIBLE ARM WHEN NOT IN USE.
CAUTION: Never touch the bulb when the lamp is switched on,
or position it so it may come into contact with curtains or drapes.

CAUTION: The shade fitted to this lamp is specially designed to
suit its maximum wattage, changing the shade could affect your
lamp's electrical safety.
CAUTION: Take care not get the flexible cord tangled around the
weighted base or pole during assembly and during use.
CAUTION: If the external flexible cable of this luminaire becomes
damaged, it should be exclusively replaced by a suitably
qualified person in order to avoid hazard.
IN CASE OF DOUBT CONSULT A QUALIFIED ELECTRICIAN
