OZONE AIR PURIFIER
WARNING! Important. Read carefully this instruction manual before
before turning on the ozone generator.
1. OZONE FEATURES
Ozone has highly biocidal properties, is widely used for air disinfection in environments that
require constant remediation cycles and for surfaces in general, where it carries out an action to
reduce pathogenic charges, preventing their subsequent formation.
Having highly biocidal properties ozone is considered as a very valid disinfectant agent.
Its disinfectant power generates an oxidation process that attacks and destroys over 99% of
microorganisms such as germs, bacteria, viruses, parasites, molds, fungi, mites and pesticides
as well as neutralizing the particles responsible for bad smells (smoke, food, paints , animal hair,
etc.) which are transformed into different molecules that cannot be perceived by the human sense
of smell. It is also an excellent natural repellent against flies, mosquitoes, fleas, cockroaches, ants,
bedbugs, moths, preventing their proliferation as it eliminates the bacteria causing their
multiplication.
Despite being a gas, ozone is extremely safe: it is not flammable nor explosive, does not deteriorate
fabrics, furnishings, equipment and objects and, if properly used (see point 5. CAUTION), it is not
harmful to people and animals. It is also absolutely ecological because, being unstable, it completely
decomposes turning into oxygen after a few hours; with the generator off, already after about 10
minutes, all the ozone generated begins to convert into pure oxygen without leaving any toxic or
chemical residue.
Due to these exceptional properties, ozone is considered the best disinfectant on the market, far
superior to traditional chemical detergents, ultraviolet radiation etc. and was recognized by the
Ministry of Health (protocol No. 24482 of July 31, 1996) "natural defense for the sterilization of
environments contaminated by bacteria, virus spores, mold and infested with mites and insects".
In 2001 the American FDA (Food and Drug Administration) made possible the use of ozone as an
antimicrobial agent in the gas phase.
In Italy with the opinion of the CNSA (National Food Safety Committee) of 27 October 2010 there
was a favorable opinion on the treatment of environments with gaseous ozone.
2. HOW THE OZONE GENERATOR WORKS
Ozone is produced from oxygen present in the air, as a direct result of the electric discharge
generated by an internal component of the appliance commonly called the "corona discharge
generator".
In this process, an electric current flows between a conductor with high electrical potential and a
neutral fluid, in this specific case the surrounding air. The electric discharge breaks down the stable
oxygen molecule and forms two oxygen radicals. These radicals combine with the oxygen molecules
present in the air to form ozone.

3. AREAS OF APPLICABILITY
This product is suitable for air disinfection in enclosed spaces, in particular: car / truck / coach /
camper / caravan / boat / ambulance / medical offices / professional offices / aesthetic studies /
hairdressers / restaurants / industry service rooms (canteens, elevators, dining rooms, changing
rooms and toilets) and in general where more people share limited environment. Since ozone has
the ability to penetrate deep into the fabrics fibers (being heavier than air) it can also be used to
sanitize armchairs, sofas, mattresses, carpets and rugs, eliminating the factors that cause allergies
to people sensitive to dust, mites and spores.

5. CAUTION
POTENTIAL DANGER CAUTION

• ALWAYS AERATE THE TREATED ENVIRONMENT FOR A FEW MINUTES BEFORE
ENTERING
• Do not allow the equipment to be used by incorrectly trained personnel.
• Do not breathe directly or near the ozone discharge fan, the concentration in those
points is extremely high and harmful to your health.
• The electrical safety of this appliance is ensured only when it is connected to an electrical
system equipped with an effective earth socket and a differential switch according to the
law.
• Do not touch the equipment, the cable, the wall socket with wet or damp hands or feet.
• Do not pull on the power cable to disconnect the plug from the socket.
• Do not leave the equipment exposed to external atmospheric agents.
• Before any cleaning or maintenance operation, switch off the appliance.
• In case of failure or malfunction, turn off the equipment and do not tamper with it.
• For any intervention, contact the technical assistance service indicated.
6. PRODUCT USE
MEANS OF TRANSPORT
1. Place the product in a stable position.
2. Start the engine to turn on the air conditioning (cold, not hot), setting the air recirculation with
the ventilation fan at maximum speed.
3. Connect the power plug to the 220V socket.
4. Turn on the appliance, set the timer to 20 minutes and close the vehicle doors and windows.
The car interior is sanitized in about 20 minutes. Place the generator stably and with sufficient
surrounding space for a correct flow of incoming air and outgoing ozone. Once the generator is
on the emission of ozone gas begins. It is necessary to keep the recirculation active for at least 10
minutes so that the passenger compartment and all the pipes of the air conditioning system are
sanitized. Finally it is important to open the doors and ventilate before entering the vehicle.

2. In order to obtain the best ozone disinfectant effect, it is recommended to close the rooms

3. Connect the power plug to the 220V socket and set the timer according to the time required to

4. Turn on the appliance: the indicator light turns on and the generator starts producing ozone.

5. Once the set treatment time has been reached, the appliance switches off automatically.
6. Generally ozone decomposes into oxygen in about 1-2 hours. Before staying in the room,
make sure that the ozone smell has completely vanished.
7. PRODUCT MAINTENANCE AND STORAGE
1. Please place the ozone generator in a dry, arid and ventilated place and clean the fan grill at least
once a month.
2. Do not open the product, current under voltage inside.
3. For the product internal maintenance contact specialized technicians only.
4. Regularly check the condition of the power supply cable and the cover fixing screws and, if they
are loose, tighten them with a screwdriver.

9. PRODUCT WARRANTY
This product is guaranteed against defects in material or workmanship for a period of 2 years in the
case of purchase by a private entity and 1 year in the case of purchase by a professional subject with
a VAT number. For this purpose, the purchase date resulting from the sales receipt or sales invoice
is effective.
The warranty is not valid in case of improper use, tampering, modification of the product or
non-compliance with the instructions for use as indicated in this manual.
CO.RA. does not guarantee the product against damage or defects in the following conditions:
unauthorized maintenance or repair operations, damage deriving from problems with the power
supply, use of parts or components not supplied by CO.RA., failure to comply with the guidelines
and instructions for use, unauthorized modifications, shipping damage or failure to perform
maintenance as indicated in the manual.
Worn components are not covered by this warranty if the damage is attributable to the normal use
of the product.
CO.RA. is not responsible for any damage to people or things resulting from improper use of the
product, from failure to comply with the precautionary rules indicated, or anything else caused by
the use of the product that is not scrupulously compliant with the instructions given in this manual.
10. CE DECLARATION OF CONFORMITY
This product complies with the requirements of the European Directives 2014/30 / EU (electromagnetic
compatibility), 2014/35 / EU (low voltage) and 2011/65 / EU (RoHS).
