Installing the batteries

The product is powered by 3 X AA alkaline batteries (not included). To install the batteries, unscrew the

4 retaining screws. Lift the battery compartment cover off and insert the batteries, observing the

correct polarity and replace the cover.

Where to position

Place the repeller in a position where cats have been active; for example, along paths, entrances or

around flower beds. The ultrasonic soundwaves travel in straight lines so do your best to avoid any

solid obstructions. Choose a position where the unit will not get submerged during heavy rain.

Installing the ground spike

Use the metal spike pushed into the ground at a depth of 11 centimetres. The ideal height is

between 13 and 35 centimetres where it will detect cats that move within range of 8 metres and a

radius of 110° degrees.

Before inserting the spike into the ground check the surface. Frozen soil, or waterlogged ground is

not suitable. Dig a hole into solid earth to soften the soil and remove any rocks or obstacles then

push into the soil and firm with your foot.

Operating

Turn the repeller on at the ON/OFF switch, this activates it in standby mode. If the sensor detects

movement, it emits a sound for 5 seconds and then returns to standby mode. There will be a red

light inside the PIR sensor to show that it is working.

Maintenance

To clean the unit, use a damp, soft cloth and mild soapy water. Do not use harsh or abrasive cleaning

agents which may damage the unit.

Do not immerse the repeller in water and if there is the likelihood of deep snow or floods bring

the unit indoors, remove the batteries and store in a cool dry place.

Caution: Some people, especially the young, can hear part of the range which the product emits –

this can cause discomfort. This also applies to domestic pets so bear this in mind when positioning

the product.
