5. Function Test, Maintenance and Storage
Case and accessories, such as the reaction torque arm (DMA),
must be regularly inspected for damage and must be replaced
professionally if necessary.
In case of unusual mechanical noises, a lubrication of the rachet
drive lever is urgently recommended to prevent subsequent
damage.
Maintenance
The alkitronic® M-ML/Norwolf Missing Link / Z series / XCE
Link torque multiplier is an extremely powerful and robust
product.
Tighten all cap screws after every major use to ensure
they have not unseated. Clean the outside of your
alkitronic® / Norwolf tool, removing all grit and oil
after every use.
To ensure a long life and reliability over many years the tool
must be serviced in regular intervals (performance check,
safety inspection).
The torque multiplier must be inspected at least
once a year.
After high stresses / loads or lengthy hours of op-
eration calibration and ser vicing must be carried out
more frequently.

Storage
The alkitronic® / Norwolf manual torque multiplier
should be stored dry, cooled down and dust-free
in its original packaging or in another lockable
container. Warmth and humidity may lead to
oxidations in parts within the tool housing.
Following these rules will reduce the risk of
malfunctions.
For repairs the alkitronic® / Norwolf manual torque multiplier
must be sent to the appropriate alkitronic® Partner or directly
to alki Technik GmbH in its original package.

The serial numbers of the torque multipliers are determined
by the manufacturer Norwolf.
