Clean, clear water is essential for your health and your spa's. Without chemical

sanitation, the water in your spa becomes the perfect environment for germs and

bacteria to grow and spread. The leading preventable cause of spa malfunction

is poor water chemistry, and while supplemental sanitizers like UV light reduce

chemical consumption, they don't replace them entirely.

Read and follow all manufacturer's water chemistry instructions, recommendations and safety

information beginning on page 15 of the owner's manual.

Handle chemicals with care - Risk of chemical reaction & noxious fumes.

Never mix chlorine, bromine, or any other chemical sanitizers. Always read and follow the

instructions on the bottles. Wear goggles & gloves when handling chemicals. Avoid splashing

chemicals on the cabinet and acrylic surfaces.

BALANCING WATER CHEMISTRY

Each step of a water maintenance program is dependent upon properly adjusting the previous steps to

within the recommended ranges. Omitting any step or failing to properly adjust to recommended ranges can

damage the spa and cause bather discomfort.

The Association of Pool & Spa Professionals has established the following range recommendations for spas:

Adding Chemicals

Initial start up & after each cleaning

Balance the Total Alkalinity (TA)

Recommended Range 80 to 120 ppm

Balance the Calcium Hardness (CH)

Recommended Range 150 to 250 ppm

Balance the pH

Recommended Range 7.2 -7.8

Maintain sanitizer levels

Recommended Range Free Chlorine with UV Sanitizer .5 to 1 ppm

Test your water twice a week, whether you use the spa or not.
