9. Adjust the direction of the plumbing if necessary and
connect tubing to filter or waterfall device.
10. Be sure the pump is fully submersed and plug the
pump in to operate.
11. Observe the operation to make sure it is running
smoothly and connections are secure.
12. For the EPS4900VF model, the flow rate can be
selected from the controller device. Use the arrows
to select the flow rate desired. Be sure to operate
only between 40% and 100% to avoid damage to the
pump.
Service & Maintenance
Disconnect all power supplies before
1.
inspection or service to avoid possible
electrical shock.
2.
Regularly inspect and clean the pump housing to
make sure it is clear of debris or algae which can
reduce the flow.
3.
Be sure the pump housing is closed and properly
latched to prevent debris from entering the pump.
4.
Check the water level daily to ensure the pump remains fully submerged.
5.
If the pump is left in water but not operating regularly, test run it at least once a week.
6.
Once per season the unit should be disassembled to clean any build-up of debris or
mineral deposits on the impeller assembly and housing. Areas with hard water may
require more frequent cleaning. (See cleaning section for details)
7.
Winterization/Storage: When the pump is out of use for extended time - wash and dry
it then store indoors in a non-freezing location. It is essential to prevent any risk of the
pump freezing.
Cleaning and Replacing Impeller Assembly

3.
Unclip the four locking clips to loosen upper housing.
