Selective Advertising

Selective Advertising, when used in combination with Auto-Negotiation, advertises

only the configured speed and duplex mode for the twisted-pair port.

Note: If a specific speed and/or duplex mode are desired, it is recommended that

you use Selective Advertising, rather than Force Mode, when connecting to devices

that ONLY auto-negotiate.

Bandwidth Control

The Prisma EtherLinX unit includes bandwidth control functionality. You can

independently set bandwidth, in 32 Kbps increments, on each downlink port, or you

can set the bandwidth for the unit by assigning the uplink port a given amount.
