PowerLite 735c Multimedia Projector
Advanced Menu "Standby Mode" settings and Remote Access
Subject:
This bulletin was created to inform you of the "Standby Mode" settings, under the Advanced
Menu selection for the PowerLite 735c MultiMedia Projector.
Description:
The "Standby Mode" setting information was not included in the User Manual that is bundled
with the projector, and is also not included in the User Manual posted on the Epson Website.
However, when accessing the menu system on the projector using the remote control, the
Advanced Menu does include the "Standby Mode" selection.
When the PowerLite-735c is in standby mode, customers who attempt to attach wirelessly to
the projector with either the EMP Monitor Utility, or through their internet browser (Internet
Explorer or Netscape) using the TCP/IP address of the projector, cannot detect or attach to it.
Solution:
By default, the Network Mode in the Advanced Menu under the Standby Mode section is
turned off. In the OFF setting, there is no power to the PC Card slot of the projector. The
Network Mode setting needs to be set to ON and the projector re-powered for this setting to be
activated. After this is done the PC Card slot is then live when the projector is in standby
mode, and can be controlled with EMP Monitor or an internet browser.
When an internet browser is being used to access the projector over TCP/IP, a login screen
appears requesting a login name and password. By default there is no login name or
password set; leave the fields blank and click OK.
