This unit has a built-in surround processor for adding presence and an

expansive effect to the sound.

® STADIUM:

This can be used with stereo sources, but not monaural sources, to

create a nch, wide reverb effect. If the sound source is, for example,

a rock concert, you can enjoy listening to it as though you were right

up close to the stage. If you are listening to something like a football

game, this effect re-creates the powerful sound and excitement of an

actual stadium

* SIMULATED SURROUND:

When you are listening to music at a club or a concert hail, the sound

you hear from the stage also contains reflected sound and reverb from

the wails and ceiling. By simulating these extra sounds, SIMULATED

SURROUND lets you enjoy listening to music with the spacious effect

associated with live concerts. The delay time can be adjusted to achieve

the desired effect. For the atmosphere of a club, delay time should be

set to 15 to 20 ms. For chamber music, 20 ms is most suitable, and

for the effect of listening to an orchestra in a concert hall, the best setting

is 30 ms.

SIMULATED SURROUND is also effective when used with a monaural

sound source, Although the central image is retained,

a more spacious

effect is added to the peripheral sound. When using a monaural source,

if SIMULATED STEREO is switched ON, you can enjoy an even more

effective surround sound
