HOW
TO USE THE FILTERS
A wide
frequency range
is a
prerequistite
for
the best high
fidelity
reproduction.
This, however,
is
not neces
sarily
ideal as long as enjoying reproduced
rnusic
sounds
is
concerned. Since
the filters being
ernployed
for this unit are
extrernely
high
quality
having
the
negative
feedback
functions, they cut off
any
frequencies higher
orlowerthanwhatareindicated
on
the
panel
with
their
sharp
cut-off characteristics
of IZdBloct droop.
We recornrnend
that
you rnay operate
the
1ow
filter
switch
(11) and
the
high
filter
switch
(lZ)
alternately
to
see
the effects yourself while
you
are
enjoying the
rnusic
reproduced by
this
unit.
Especially,
wherr you operate
the
low
filter
switch
and do
not
see any
difference
between the reproduced lows obtained
with the switch
set
to
OFF
and
lows
obtained
with the switch set to
30
Hz,

set
the
switch
to
30
Hz
to
cut
off
ex-
trernely

frequencies so
that
you rnay obtain
better
sounds. The effect to
be
obtained
by this
procedure
depends
on the quality
of.
your
player,
basic arnplifier
and speaker systern.
Therefore,
you
are
recornrnended
to
fully
wtth.ze
the
filters
so
that
you
may
get the
bestoutof
the perforrnance of the acoustic
units,
whatever the cornbination of
these
units
rnay be.
