TROUBLESHOOTING
WHEN PLAYING BACK A COMPACT DISC
SYMPTOM
CAUSE
REMEDY
18, Player
stops
immediately
after playback is started.
@
Disc is loaded upside down (CD, CDV}.
The playing surface of the discs is dirty.
e@ Disc is not properly set on the disc table.
Load the disc correctly with the label side
upward.
Use a soft cloth and lightly wipe off the dirt |
from the surface of the disc. ff necessary,
|
moisten a cloth with difuted neutral detergent |
to remove heavy dirt or fingerprint.
Set the disc properly.
19. No sound output
20. Sound is distorted.

The
stereo
amplifier
is
not
correctly
connected.

You are not operating the stereo amplifier
correctly.
®@ The connection terminals and/or the plugs
of the connection cords are dirty.
e@ The plugs of the connection
cords
are
disconnected, or are not fully pushed in.
@ The player is in pause mode.
Connect the amplifier correctly.
Refer to the operating instructions for the j
amplifier, and operate the amplifier correctiy.

Clean the plugs and terminals and connect
|
again.
Make
sure
that
connections
are
made
corractly.
Press PLAY/PAUSE and restore the player to
play mode.
@
The audio output jacks ere connected
to
the PHONO jacks.
@
The connection terminals and/or the plugs
of the connection cords are dirty.
® The plugs of the connection cords are not
fully pushed in.
Connect to the AUX, CD, VDP, LD or VCR
jacks.
Clean the plugs and terminals and connect
again
Push the plug in firmly.
