The DVDSetupmenu givesyou accessto all the system's
DVD
settings.
Press DVDSETUP
to display/leave the
menu madthe cursor (-,<A Vl,,_) aud ENTER buttons
on the remote to navigate and selectoptions. In some
screensyou cmapressRETURNto leavethe screen
without making aly chauges. The controls for each
menu are shown at the bottom ofthe screen.
If an option is greyedout it memasthat it camot be
chalged at the current time.This is usually beeause a
discis playing. Stopthe disc, then chalge the setting.
The current setting for aly option is marked with a
coloredbox. The color d the box indicates what kind of
discthe setting is applicable to:blue Ibr DVD o@;
yellowfor DVD and \ddeo CD;green for mayb,ped disc.

setting--widescreen DVD software is then shown using
the full screen area. Whenplaying softwarerecordedin
conventional (4:3) lbnnat, the settings on your *IN' will

If you have a conventional *1_ _, c hoose either 4:3
(Letter Box) or4:3 (Pan & Scan). In Letter
Boxmode, widescreensoftwareis shownwith black bars
at the top and bottom of the screen.Pan & Scauchops
the sides offwidescreenmaterial to make it fit the 4:3
screen (so even though the picture lookslarger on the
screen,you're actuallyseeing lessof the movie). See
page 46 for more information.
