Troubleshooting

Whenever the appliance fails to work, check for a solution from the following list before calling for
Assistance.
Problem:
The dishwasher does not start.
No water drains out from the
dishwasher.
The dishwasher makes
excessive noise.
The dishes and glasses are
covered in a white film or
limescale deposits.
The dishes and glasses are
streaked or have a bluish tinge.
The crockery has not been
dried properly.
The dishes are not clean.
The dishwasher does not take
any water in/Tap shut-off alarm
(the Drying and End indicator
lights flash).
Water loading solenoid valve
malfunction alarm
(the Drying indicator light flash).
Water inlet hose alarm/Water
inlet filter blocked. (the
Washing, Drying and End
indicator lights flashes).

Possible causes / Solutions:
• The plug has not been insert ed into the electrical socket prop erl y, or there is
no po wer in t he house.
• The dishwash er door h as no t been shut prope rly.
• A delayed start has bee n program m ed (see Start-up and use).
• The dishwash er cycle h as not yet finished.
• The wate r inlet hose is bent (see Installation ).
• The drain duct is blocked.
• The filter is clogged u p with food residues.
• The dishes are rat tling again st each other or against the sprayer a rm s.
• An e xcessive am ount of foam has been produce d: the detergent has not
been m easured out corr ectly or it is not suitable for use i n dish washe rs (see
St art-up and use).
• The level of the refined salt is low o r t he dosa ge setting is not suited t o the
hard ness of the water (see Rinse aid a nd salt).
• The lid on th e salt dispenser is not closed properly.
• The rinse ai d has bee n used up or the d osage is t oo lo w.
• The crockery is m ade f rom non-stick m aterial.
• The rinse ai d dosag e is too high.
• A wash cycle wit hout a drying pro gram m e has been selected.
• The rinse ai d has bee n used up or the d osage is t oo lo w (see Rinse aid and
salt).
• The rinse ai d dispense r set ting is not high e nou gh.
• The racks are o verload ed (s ee Loading th e racks).
• The crockery has not bee n arrange d well.
• The sprayer arm s cannot m ove fre ely.
• The wash cycle is t oo gentl e (see Wash cycles).
• An e xcessive am ount of foam has been produce d: the detergent has not
been m easured out correctly or it is not suit able for use in dishwashers (see
St art -up and use).
• The lid on th e rinse ai d compart m ent has not been shut correctly.
• The filter is dirty or blocked (see Care and mainten ance).
• The refin ed salt level is lo w (see Rinse aid and salt).
• There is no water in the m ains supply.
• The wate r inlet hose is bent (see Installat ion).
• Turn o n the t ap and t he appliance will start aft er a f ew m inut es.
The appliance is locked because no action was taken when th e indicat or
lights were flashing. Switch of f the m achine using the ON/OFF butt on, t urn
on the tap a nd s witch t he machine back on af ter 20 seconds by p ressing the
sam e button. Re-programm e the m achine and restart the wash cycle.
• Switch off the app liance by pressing the ON/OFF butt on and s witch it back
on aft er a m inute. I f the alarm continues, shut off t he wa ter tap to elim inate
the risk of flooding, rem ove the plug from the elect rical socket and contact
Assistance.
• Switch off the appliance b y pressing th e ON/OFF butto n. Shut off the wat er
tap to elim inate the risk of flooding and rem ove the plug from the electrical
socket. Make sure the wate r inlet filter has not becom e blocked by vario us
im purities. (see "Care and maintena nce" c hapter).
