Damage, injury or even death may result from improper use of this product, or not
following directions and warnings. This product is intended for use in normal, indoor
conditions. This product may not be appropriate for all individuals.
WARNING – Prior to use of this product, the User's medical professional should be
consulted to ensure this product is appropriate for the User's specific needs based upon
his or her overall medical condition and limitations.
WARNINGS – General:
1. Failure to comply with all directions and warning may result in injury or death; use only
as directed.
2. This product is not suitable for use with "high risk for fall" individuals. Other devices
may be required.
3. Inspect the product for damage before each use and do not use it if it appears to be
damaged or not functioning properly.
4. Never alter the product in any way.
5. This product is designed for indoor use only within close proximity to
skilled caregivers.
WARNING – This mat is designed to provide comfort and help reduce the impact
of a fall. This product is intended to be a part of, but not a replacement for, a User's
comprehensive care plan. Other equipment may be required. This may include but is not
limited to:
1. Monitoring devices for elopement prevention.
2. Other devices as specified by the medical professional or Caregiver.
THIS PRODUCT CANNOT PREVENT ALL INJURIES A USER MAY SUSTAIN IN THE EVENT
OF A FALL. THIS PRODUCT CANNOT PREVENT A FALL. When used properly, this product
can lessen potential injuries by dispersing the force of impact should a User fall out of bed.
WARNING – Prior to use, always ensure the bedside mat does not pose a tripping
hazard to the User, Caregiver or others who may come into contact with it.
WARNING – This product is intended only for use next to low- or standard-height
beds to provide a softer surface than standard flooring.
WARNING – If used in a community, please be sure all staff members are familiar
with your community's policies for working with residents where fall mats are used. In
some instances, the best practice may be to temporarily move the fall mat to prevent
tripping or slipping while assisting residents.

Product Description

Panacea Foldable Bedside Mat
The Panacea Foldable Bedside Mat may be placed next to a User's bed to help reduce
the impact of a fall should a User fall from the bed. This bedside mat is foldable for easy
removal and storage.

Directions For Use

1. Unpack the product in an area with sufficient room to work. Do not allow children,
animals or individuals with impaired cognitive or physical abilities near the product until
it has been completely set up and the work area has been cleared of all debris. Do not
use razor blades to cut packaging away from the product.
2. Inspect the product for shipping damage. If the product is damaged or the wrong
product was accidentally sent, DO NOT USE IT and immediately contact the distributor
for further instruction.
3. Ensure the floor where the mat will be placed is free of dust and dirt before positioning
the product. This will allow the mat to grip the floor more effectively and reduce mat
movement.
4. Place the bedside mat flat on the floor, directly next to the bed, making sure it does
NOT go under the bed.
5. Check to ensure the bedside mat does not pose a tripping hazard to the User, Caregivers or
others that may come into contact with the mat.
6. When not in use, store the bedside mat against a wall, in a closet or hanging from
the footboard.
NOTE: Do not remove product tag, cleaning instruction tag or law tag from the fall
mat. Removal of tags will void the warranty.
WARNING: This product will not prevent falls. This product will not replace good
caregiving practices, including, but not limited to:
• Direct supervision of the User
• Adequate care plans and training for medical personnel and Caregivers regarding
User diet, hydration, cleanliness, range of motion, entrapment, fall prevention
and repositioning
• Inspection and testing before use
