14).

The Voice shown here becomes the Voice

for the instrument.

To play "Fun Sounds" (Sound effects):

Pressing the [SFX KIT] enables you to play various

sound effects from the keyboard; barking, yelling,

and much more. Try out each key and enjoy the

sounds. Don't forget the black keys!

For details on the sound effects assigned to each

key, refer to the illustration on the front panel (page

12) or "SFX Kit List" on page 29.

To simply play a Piano sound:

Press the [PORTABLE GRAND] button. The various

settings will be reset to default and Voice Number

001 "Grand Piano" will automatically be selected as

the Voice.

To apply effects or play with enhanced, more

spacious sound:

Try using the effects or functions to enhance the sound.

(Refer to the Function list on page 21.)

Playing the Keyboard with Two Per-

sons (Duo mode)

When the Duo mode is activated on this instrument,

two different players can play the instrument simulta-

neously, with the same sound, over the same octave

range-one person on the left and other on the right.

NOTE

• You cannot select different Voices for the left and right

sections in the Duo mode.

Press the [FUNCTION] button several

times to call up "DuoMode" (Function

Number 022; page 23).

Press the [+] to set the Duo mode to "on."

The keyboard is divided into two sections: left

and right at the F#3 key.

Left player

One person should play the left Voice

section of the keyboard while the other

plays the right Voice section.

To exit from the Duo mode, call up "Duo-

Mode" (see the step 1 above) and press

the [-] button to set it to "oFF."

Controlling sound output in the Duo

mode

This output setting can be changed from the "Duo-

Type" (Function Number 023; page 23).
