FRONT PANEL CONNECTIONS/CONTROLS

N N O O T T E E : : The step numbers listed below are referenced on the Input Wiring Diagram. Not

all the amplifiers will have all the connections/controls listed below.

1. R R C C A A I I n n p p u u t t / / O O u u t t p p u u t t J J a a c c k k s s - - The

inputs accept line level outputs from

head units or signal processors at

voltages between 150mV and 4

volts. The outputs provide signal to

other amplifiers.

2. I I n n p p u u t t G G a a i i n n A A d d j j u u s s t t m m e e n n t t - - Controls

amplifier sensitivity and is used to

match the input level of the ampli-

fier to the output level of the signal

source.

3. C C r r o o s s s s o o v v e e r r F F r r e e q q u u e e n n c c y y A A d d j j u u s s t t m m e e n n t t - -

Adjusts the crossover point for the

on-board active crossovers.

4. S S t t a a t t u u s s L L E E D D s s - The POWER indicator

LED will light BLUE to indicate the

amplifier is on. The PROTECT LED

will light RED if the amplifier shuts

down due to short circuit, or over-

heating detected by on-board

protection circuitry.

5. S S u u b b S S o o n n i i c c S S w w i i t t c c h h - - This filter atten-

uates frequencies of values below

the audio range. Typically below

20Hz.

6. P P h h a a s s e e S S w w i i t t c c h h - - Provides either 0 or

180 degree phase shift of the

amplified output (speaker) with

respect to the input signal (1500X

and 1800X only).

7. F F i i l l t t e e r r S S e e l l e e c c t t i i o o n n S S w w i i t t c c h h - - Controls the

type of filter for the on-board active

crossover. FLAT does not attenuate

any frequencies and is for full-range

speaker systems. HPF attenuates

low frequencies and is used for mid-

range speakers and tweeters. LPF

attenuates high frequencies and is

used for subwoofers speakers.

8. B B a a s s s s B B o o o o s s t t S S w w i i t t c c h h - Adds an addi-

tional 6 or 12 db of bass boost to

the speaker output (4600X 8 db

only).

N N O O T T E E : :

The 2300X amplifier has one combined Power/-

Protection (BLUE/RED) LED. All other Xtreme

amplifiers have separate Power (BLUE) and Protec-

tion (RED) LEDs.
