Do not attempt to update the appliance with the standard ThinkSystem firmware packages. In most cases, the appliances use

OEM firmware versions which are not compatible with regular code packages.

Remember that these machines are only supported by BoMCsft4. If you attempt to update an appliance with the wrong tool, it will

stop you and advise to use the other tool.

If the machine IS NOT a QRadar Hardware Appliance, press ENTER to continue to the standard firmware update menu.

If the machine IS a QRadar Hardware Appliance, go back through the update VPD process and be sure to verify and correct the Asset

Tag information with the correct Appliance Type, Model, and Serial. For any questions or if assistance is needed to verify the correct

Appliance VPD, contact SSR Support and request assistance from the WSO team or from a QRadar Level 2 team Hardware SME.
