Autofocus may not provide the desired results in situations like those
shown below. In these cases. use manual focus. or use focus

• Zoom and Depth of field
Before focusing, rotate the room ring to adJUSt the focal length and frame
the photograph.

the camera offers depth-of-field preview (stop down).
depth of field can be previewed in the viewfinder.
Use the zoom ring to zoom in and out Photographs can

Changes to zoom can alter the maximum aperture by up to 1Ji EV. The
camera however automatically takes this into account when setting expo-
sure, and no modifications to camera senings are requ ired following adjust-

ulllt, shoot at ranges of

Vibration reduction (VR) reduces blur caused by camera shake, allowing

toasoft.cleancottonclothorlens-cleaningussueandclean fromthe
center outwards using a circular motion, taking care not to leave smears
ortouchtheglasswithyour~ngers.
