WARRANTY
All CAME products carry a 3 year warranty
against faulty manufacture. Returns will be
inspected for mis-application or abuse. This
trouble shooting page will help installers to
identify unnecessary errors from faults.
Please make good use of our technical line.
We are here to help you. Your success is
our success.
ELECTRICAL CHECKS
Unplug all the connectors except the
transformer. Reconnect the supply. You
should hear a click and the LED should
flash once.
Check that capacitors have been fitted to
(12) on Frog systems only.
IF OK, SKIP THE NEXT STEPS
Use a test meter or 24V bulb to check
accessory supply between terminals 10
and 11. If no voltage is detected, try the
1A accessory fuse.
The transformer should be warm. If not,
check the 5A mains fuses (2). Ensure the
mains supply is present at the mains
connector L1L2.
Plug in the control connector. Press the
programme button (4). The LED should
flash. If not, make sure there is a link wire
between terminal 1 & 2.
RADIO FUNCTION
Select a known working transmitter. Ensure
the radio head is plugged in correctly.
Plug in & power up.
Hold the transmitter near the control board.
You should hear a click when the transmit
button is pressed.
IF OK, SKIP THE NEXT STEPS
Check that one radio transmitter code has
been programmed to the control board.
Follow instruction
c1.
Is the control panel damp, or infested with
cobwebs, or other insects. Dry out then
spray lightly with WD40.
Replace the antenna wire then retry.
TRANSMITTER TEST
Select a transmitter that is known to have
worked before. Check that the code
switches and jumpers are set the same in
both or all transmitters.
Are all the transmitters the same type.
Check that one radio transmitter code has
been programmed to the control board.
Follow instruction
r1.
Does the radio transmitter's LED light up
when the button is pressed. Try another
known working transmitter. Try changing
batteries. Is the battery 12V or 1.5V
Hold the transmitter near the board. You
should hear a click when the transmit
button is pressed.

TROUBLE SHOOTING

The gates do not open
The gates do not close
The gates close then re-open
Motors do not run at all
Only one gate works properly
One gate runs the wrong way
One or more fuses blows
Radio controls do not work
Some transmitters don't work

BLOWN FUSE CHECKS
Unplug all the connectors. Replace any
blown fuses. Check continuity across L1
and L2. is open circuit. If not, remove the
board and check track side for damage.
Check the wires on the transformer are :

Reconnect supply and re check fuses. If
the mains fuses do not blow, power down
and plug in the transformer. Try again.
Does the transformer give off an acrid
smell. Does it buzz or get hot.
Use a test meter or 24V bulb to check
accessory supply between terminals 10
and 11. If no voltage is detected, try the
1A accessory fuse.
Is there a wire in terminal E1. This will
blow fuses is used as an earth terminal.

MOTOR CHECKS
Remove the motor plug.
motor and move to half open. Measure
the resistance from W terminal to U, V, X,
and Y. All four readings should be equal.
Replace the motor plug.
Is the bad motor hot to touch? It may have
over heated. Leave until cool, then retry.
Swap wires in terminals U with X and V
with Y. If the fault stays on the same side,
check motor capacitor.
Look in both casements. Are they similar.
Has a motor arm bent the casing. Check
for cable damage due to moving parts.
ATI motors; listen for a brake release clunk.
If it is not strong, increase the torque
setting and retry.
Make sure black torque wire is set correctly.
t7
INPUT CHECKS
Remove any wires in terminals 3 or 7 and
re-test for fault. If OK, skip the next steps.
The fault maybe in the connected circuit.
Check the DC voltage from terminal 2 to
terminal 3 – (should be 5V) then to
terminal 7 – (should be 5V) then to
terminal C1 – 0V with photocell covered.
Check link between 1 & 2.
Disconnect all wires from the control
connector except the link 1 to 2.

PHOTOCELL FUNCTION
Ensure the both lenses are clean and there
is a line of sight between the transmitter
and receiver.
Cover the Rx photocell lens. Listen for a
light click in the Rx.
IF OK, SKIP THE NEXT STEPS
Check on the control connector that there
is 0Vdc between terminal 2 & C1, and
5Vdc with lens covered.
Remove photocell covers and check both
plugs are on the right way. Test the
315ma fuse in Tx photocell.
Inspect for dirt, dampness or insects.
Check the link between 2 & NC.
Check for 24Vac between terminal 2 & 10
in the Rx. Check the voltage jumper is in
the 24V lower position.
MOTOR DIRECTION
Power down then power up. Operate the
transmitter and note which leaf starts
closing. To change direction of motor 1,
swap wires U & V. To change motor 2,
swap X & Y wires.
If motors run in the right direction, but the
wrong motor starts first, then swap the
wires in U & X and wires in V & Y. This
is necessary for gates with a rebate, or
where leaf open angles are different. Set
6 interleaf delay.
Outward opening ATI & FERNI motors
also need to be reversed. Swap U & V
wires and X & Y wires. Fit photo-cells on
the pier inside the property.
