Shelby Functionality & Modes
Note: Sliding the switch all the way back will make it appear as if the
light is turned off but you must always remember to turn the light off
properly via unscrewing the end cap 1/4 turn. Failure to do so can
result in a loss of battery charge capacity.
Operation:
Turn the end cap ¼ turn clockwise to turn on the light. Slide the hall effect switch for-
ward to activate the light, slide the switch back to dim the light. Unscrew the end cap
¼ turn to turn the flashlight off and prevent accidental activation.
Batteries:
Your flashlight is powered by two 3.7V 18650 rechargeable lithium-ion batteries. Insert
the batteries into the flashlight positive end (the end with the nub) forward. As shown
in figure 1.
This battery includes a protection circuit that will prevent overcharging, starving, and
shorting. However, for best battery life we recommend recharging after 1 hour of use
at full power and approximately 4 hours of use on the lowest setting. If the batteries are
not going to be used for more than a few weeks, run the flashlight for 45 minutes to 1
hour (from a full charge), put the batteries in an air-tight Zip-lock® bag, and store them
in your refrigerator (Not the freezer!).
Charging:
Insert the batteries into the char-
ger. The indicator light will be red
when the batteries are charging
and green when they are fully
charged. Charging will take 2-6
hours, depending on how long the
flashlight has been run.
Note: Don't look directly into this
light while on High. The High mode
is really bright! It is best to reserve
the High beam setting for use while
on the move or with some wind, as
the housing can get quite warm to
the touch and the moving air helps
cool the light.
When in a stationary position, try
using one of the lower power set-
tings. They are still quite bright!
