6. Web Setup

For purposes of this guide, we will outline the most common method for setting up web access.

For this method, your router should support the uPnP networking protocol and the protocol

should be enabled. Please refer to your router manufacturer's documentation to learn how to

enable uPnP on your router.

Note: This method is not as secure or stable as the DDNS method.

1. Login to your DVR, open the main menu then go to Settings -> Network.

2. Click the TCP/IP tab on the left hand menu.

3. Ensure that the Static option button is selected.

4. Ensure that the IP version selected is IPv4.

5. Click Save at the bottom of the screen.

6. Click uPnP on the left hand menu.

7. Check the Enabled option for PAT.

8. Allow up to a minute for the DVR to connect, then click OK at the bottom of the page and

re-enter the UPnP page to refresh the status from Searching to Success.

9. Write down the WAN IP address. It should look like the following example:

http://22.231.113.64

10. Open your computer browser and enter in the address from step 9 into your web browser.

11. Install the plugins for Amcrest view onto your browser.

12. Once installed, click the WAN button at the bottom of the page.

13. Enter in your login credentials and click Log In.
