Digital Photo Professional

Supplied with every Canon EOS camera,

Digital Photo Professional (DPP) is a

professional software package that allows

RAW files to be viewed, edited and processed

on a PC or Mac. Via its intuitive interface,

photographers can adjust images for

exposure, colour saturation and brightness,

as well as apply settings like white balance,

sharpening and noise reduction retrospectively.

In-camera rating

Save valuable time and start your digital

workflow on the move. The EOS 60D's

in-camera rating facility lets photographers

rank JPEG and RAW images on a scale of

one to five, with this information being

preserved as metadata in photograph.

This metadata is then used by software

such as DPP or other browsing software to

sort images according to preference during

post production editing.

Resize

The EOS 60D's in-camera editing functions

also extend to image resizing. A JPEG file

can be downsized to one of four reduced

resolutions, ranging from 3456x2304 pixels

to 720x480 pixels. Perfect for preparing

web-ready photography on the move.
