Manoeuvres and fast descents

Because of the PI 2's lightweight construc-

tion you should not do deliberate manoeu-

vres such as spins, fullstalls and collapses;

for example in SIV training. The PI 2 gener-

ally reacts very dynamically to these events

at higher wing loadings – especially so for

the small 19 and 16 wings. To master these

manoeuvres under such conditions is very

demanding, and we advise you to avoid

them.

The ADVANCE Test team recommend big

ears as the main fast descent technique for

the PI 2.

The A base line for big ears has its own ris-

er on the Standard Riser Version. This

makes it very simple to fold the ears. Like

the Standard Risers the Light Version has

its outer A-lines marked in red. This indica-

tion makes it easy to spot the correct A
