Safety

The aq EH 50 or 100 are used for installing the aquaros 5 or 20 swimming pool spot. The maximum

immersion depth is 5 m. Following correct installation, the aq EH is waterproof and insensitive

against common influences under water. It is suitable for salt water / brine with a salt content of

less than 3.5%.

During installation, the relative safety regulations have to be followed. To avoid danger and failures,

prior to any work at the installation sleeve, remove the spot and the supply cable.

Even if the spot is designed for SELV applications it is essential to observe the requirements for an

equipotential bond at the swimming pool depending on the local circumstances.

When installing the aquaros spot, please observe the respective operator's manual of the spot.

Assembly

Preparation

Depending on the configuration, unpack all the parts included in the scope of delivery and check

them for completeness and intactness.

Dispose of the packaging material no longer needed in accordance with applicable regulations.

If you notice any damage from transport, immediately contact the dealer where you purchased the

luminary.

In case the backside of the installation sleeve should not be inside a dry installation space it is

recommended to use the empty conduit in order to protect the supply cable of the spot (the cable

is permanently attached to the spot). In order to facilitate the passing of the cable, we recommend

running a cable pull through the empty conduit before installing the installation sleeve and the

empty conduit.

■ Installation sleeve version with black mounting for the empty conduit on the backside

Slide the empty conduit onto the black mounting. Fix it with a pipe clamp so that it seals well.

Lay the empty conduit so that later the cable ends in a dry space. During and after installation,

the empty conduit must not be kinked.

■ Installation sleeve version with plug-in mounting for the empty conduit on the backside

Slide the empty conduit into the plug-in mounting. The sleeve gasket seals the empty conduit

with IP67. Lay the empty conduit so that later the cable ends in a dry space. During and after

installation, the empty conduit must not be kinked.
