Cabling
Comba's CriticalPoint Annunciator Panel is powered up from a Comba Battery Backup Unit, either V1 or
V2. A communication cable is also needed between the Comba BBU and the annunciator panel.
1. Switch off the power supply (BBU) and the power switch in Annunciator Panel before cabling.
2. Communication Cable
Connect the communication cable from Annunciator Panel accessories to the BBU V1 or V2 at the bottom
of the MCU board, as the picture shows (the far right one among the three). In the WEB GUI for the BBU,
this will be referred to as "Panel #1". Extend this cable to the Annunciator Panel. The cable included in
the accessories will need to be extended with a field-provided cable.
Note: Max distance with 24-gauge wire: 2000 feet. Max distance with 18-gauge wire: 4000 feet.
At the Annunciator Panel, connect the communication cable extension as shown below.
