Press unable to make pressure
Thank you for contacting us and for letting us participate in resolving the problem.
If the press is unable to make pressure then please follow the steps below to resolve the
problem:
1. Dismantle # 120. Tilt # 2997 away. Hit # 114 firmly with a hard object to re-seat the
ball. Turn # 114 one full turn clockwise. Tilt # 2997 back in place and mount # 120
again. Check whether the press will make pressure. Should the problem not be
solved then please proceed to point 2.
2. By putting the press on its site with the pump and #2849 / #2850 upwards, you will
avoid a major oil leak.
Dismantle # 2849, # 2848 and # 19 and check for any dirt or scrap in the hole where
ball is fitted. Put the ball back in the hole and hit it firmly with a hard object.
Assemble the parts again. Make sure that the sharp end of the spring points
towards the ball.
3. Dismantle # 2850, # 2848 and # 19 and check for any dirt or scrap in the hole
where ball is fitted. Put the ball back in the hole and hit it firmly with a hard object.
Assemble the parts again. Make sure that the sharp end of the
spring points towards the ball. and check whether the press will make pressure.
Should the problem not be solved then please proceed to point 4.
4. Return the press piston in the main cylinder. Dismantle # 1228. Pump by hand to
maximum stroke and return the piston. Repeat if necessary. It is important to pump
the piston the maximum stroke every time during this process. Mount # 1228 again.
5. Should the problem not be solved then please contact Compac.
