boiler. The water level must be
below the steam release valve.

touch hot surfaces, use the handle
provided.

coffee and do not tightly pack the
coffee holder as this could prevent

blocked the steam valve may
operate. Make sure to point the
steam valve away from the user.

use.
Do not use the handle to assemble
or tighten the coffee pot.
Ensure the handle is not placed
directly above the heating hob.
Direct heat will warm and damage
the handle.
Make sure the gas flame is
adjusted properly and does not lap
around the sides of the espresso
maker as this will waste energy and
cause the handles of the espresso
maker to become hot.
If you are unsure about the
temperature of the handles please
use oven gloves.
When
using
makers (below six cups) we advise
the use of a heat diffuser or gas
ring reducer when heating the
espresso maker on a gas stove.
They are available at all good
cookware shops.
Remove the espresso maker from
the heat when the top section is
full of coffee.
To avoid spillages, ensure the
surface is stable.
The base will become hot when it
is in use an will remain hot after
use, place it on a heat resistant
surface both during and after
use.
Do not leave the espresso maker
on a hot stove without water in
the base section.
