Read the Operating Instructions carefully before use
Read these instructions carefully before use and save them for future reference. If you are
uncertain, contact a qualified electrician. Never modify the product in any way – risk of personal
injury or damage to property.
Check that the mains voltage corresponds to the rated voltage on the type plate.
Check that the product has been assembled safely and is properly secured in the holder.
Unplug the power cord and allow the machine to cool before assembly, cleaning and/or replacing
heater elements.
Do not touch the halogen bulb with your bare hands. If the halogen bulb is touched by mistake, any
fingerprints must be wiped off with a soft cloth moistened with alcohol. Otherwise, the fingerprints
can be burned onto the bulb, which shortens the service life of the heater.
The heater must not be positioned below a power outlet.
Do not touch the protective glass unnecessarily, in order to avoid grease deposits.
Keep the power cord away from the heater, which becomes hot during use.
Do not cover the heater when it is turned on, and do not place items in front of it.
A damaged power cord must be replaced by an authorised service centre, or other qualified
person, to avoid putting safety at risk.
The appliance is not intended to be used by persons (children or adults) with any form of functional
disorder or by persons who do not have sufficient experience or know-how on how to use it, in so
far as they have not received instructions concerning the use of the appliance from someone who
is responsible for their safety.
Keep children under supervision to make sure they do not play with the device.
Do not insert any objects into the appliance's openings.
Do not use the appliance if the protective glass is cracked.
The inside of the glass and/or the reflector may have a milky coating. This is caused by fumes and
is completely normal. You may remove the coating by opening the front hatch and cleaning the
glass and reflector with a dry, lint-free cloth.
ALLOW THE HEATER TO COOL FOR AT LEAST 30 MINUTES BEFORE REPLACING
HALOGEN BULBS.
Unplug the power cord before cleaning.
Fire hazard
The sides and/or rear of the patio heater must be at least 1 metre from furniture, curtains or other
flammable material. If the heater is to be used outdoors, it must be connected to a power outlet that is
approved for outdoor use or to an indoor power outlet.
