Receiver Connections
To make your receiver connections, follow the steps below:
1) Open the SURFACE menu. Along the top of the screen the channel numbers with the channel name abbreviations are
displayed. For example, 01 EL, 02 AI, 03 TH and 04 RU. Use this information to plug your model's servos into the corresponding
channel slots in the receiver. For more information, see
For example, if your SURFACE menu looks like this....
01 EL, 02 LA, 03TH, 04 RU, 05 GE, 06 RA, 07 FL, 08 A3 09 A2 and 10 A1
Plug your model's servos into the corresponding receiver channel slots as follows:
01 EL - Elevator Servo in Channel Slot 1
02 LA - Left Aileron Servo in Channel Slot 2
03 TH - Throttle Servo in Channel Slot 3
04 RU - Rudder Servo in Channel Slot 4
05 GE - Landing Gear Servo in Channel Slot 5
2) Plug your receiver battery into the switch harness, then plug the switch harness into any empty channel slot in the
receiver. The receiver can be powered from any channel slot.
The specific channel slots that you plug your servos into will vary based on the different choices you made in the MODEL TYPE
menu. Not all channel slots will be used and some Model Type selection options may not be supported by the receiver you're
using. For example, a 7-channel receiver cannot support a Model Type that features 2 Aileron servos (AILERON>2), 2 Flap
servos (FLAP>2) and 2 Elevator servos (TAIL>2xEL) because the receiver does not feature enough channels.

Prior to mounting the receiver into your model, please read and understand the suggestions and warnings below:
If mounting inside a carbon fiber fuselage, the antenna reception wires must be run outside of the model as described in
the last notation below.
The receiver should be mounted securely in your model and the receiver antenna wires installed per the diagram below. The
l
receiver antenna wires should be mounted to a wood or plastic non-conductive part of your model and angled so that the
antenna reception wires (thin, silver-colored antenna tips) are positioned 90º apart.
The receiver antenna wires consists of two coaxial cables and two reception wires (the thin tip at the end of the coaxial cables).

When you mount the receiver antenna wires, do not bend the reception wires. Reception performance decreases if the reception
wires are bent.
The receiver antenna wires are delicate, therefore, handle with care. Do not pull on the receiver antenna wires with force. Do
l
not cut or extend the receiver antenna wires.
The coaxial cables (the thicker portion of the receiver antenna wires) can be bent into gentle curves, however, do not bend the
l
coaxial cables acutely, or repeatedly bend them, or the antenna cores can be damaged.
When installed in an electric-powered model, keep the receiver antenna wires as far away from the motor, battery, and
l
electronic speed control (ESC) as possible.
When installing the receiver, the antenna reception wires (the thin tip at the end of the coaxial cables) should not come into
l
contact with any carbon or metal components (conductive components). Aircraft fuselages may contain conductive components.
If mounting the receiver surrounded by conductive materials (for example, a carbon fiber fuselage), mount the receiver so that
the antenna reception wires can be extended outside of the model. Reception can be blocked if the antenna reception wires
are shielded inside a carbon fiber fuselage.
