IV. MAINTENANCE

1. The Model 135 thermal probe (5) is shipped from

the factory preset per the customer's order speci-

fications. All maintenance should be performed at

the factory.

SYSTEM UNDER PRESSURE. Relieve all pressure

prior to performing any maintenance on the PTCM.

Failure to do so could result in personal injury.

2. To relieve pressure for removal and replacement

of Model 135 thermal probe (5), shutoff by-pass

valve (8) and isolation block valve (9). Bleed down

will initially take a small dip and rebuild to setpoint

over this period. Response to a reduction in de-

mand is immediate. An overshoot of 2-3 psi

(.14-.21 Bar) in the customer delivery pressure

can be expected.

3. Emergency temperature adjustments can be per-

formed if mandatory (see Figure 1). Loosen set-

screws on the body to allow adjustments. The

adjustments occur between the control head and

the milled flats on body. The control head is turned

counter-clockwise (CCW) to lower the tempera-

ture setpoint. A clockwise (CW) rotation will raise

the temperature setpoint. Make adjustments in

incremental steps not to exceed five degrees rota-

tion. After desired temperature setpoint is ob-

tained, tighten set screws. NOTE: Allow sufficient

time for temperature to stabilize before checking

temperature setpoint after each adjustment.
