INX menu
INX menu helps to organize a larger number of songs (up to 10,000) in any single folder
of your device. It provides the search function by song number, title, or artist name, and
also the feature to program up to 10 songs at a time.
To enable the INX menu, the karaoke song files must be renamed with a set of
sequential numbers that starts from 1 (or 00001). A menu file, ENGLISH.inx, must also
be created from the karaoke song files and stored together in the folder of your device.
Warning: INX menu will not work in an existing folder inside the Library of iPod®. For
INX menu features, you must create a new folder inside your iPod® and store the
karaoke files and ENGLISH.inx in the new folder.
We assume that all the MCG-MP3 karaoke song files, prepared in the previous steps by
download or extraction, are collected in a single folder (hereinafter referred to as MCG-
MP3) of your PC.
Download the

Start the IPS Manager program and open as SOURCE the folder containing the
o
MCG-MP3 karaoke song files.
Select as TARGET a new empty folder.

Check the CavsFiles option on the lower left corner of the program.
Check the karaoke song files, or use the CheckAll option to select all the song
o
files.
Input the INDEX for the karaoke song files. You can press the INDEX-TITLE
o
button to assign the INDEX automatically or import the INDEX from an existing
text file.
Press the Encode button. A pop-up window for Encode Process will open.

Select the Create ENGLISH.INX option.

Press Start to begin encoding.
o
Watch for any error message that may appear during the encoding process. If
any error message is issued, correct the error and repeat the encoding. You can
press the Log button to review the error messages that appeared during the
current session.
When finished, the newly created ENGLISH.inx and the newly renamed karaoke
o
song files will be in the TARGET folder. Copy the karaoke song files and the
ENGLISH.INX into the folder (for example KARAOKE) in your device.

You can print the song list by pressing Print button in the IPS Manager program.

When the folder in your device contains ENGLISH.inx file inside along with the karaoke
song files, the INX menu system will automatically pop up in the TV screen each time you
enter the folder using CAVS IPS-11G Karaoke Station. To exit the INX menu, press the
HOME key on the remote control and you will return to the Main menu.
