FAQ - Snatch Strap
Q. Why is it important to have elasticity in a Snatch Strap?
A. Elasticity is included to reduce the shock to both vehicles performing a recovery.
Q. Can I use snatch strap and an equaliser strap for the same recovery.
A. Yes, best practice is to thread the equaliser strap through the eyelet of the snatch strap
before securing the equaliser strap to the vehicle recovery points.
Q. Can I connect two straps together?
A. Yes, best method please see below.
Never connect two straps
with a bow shackle or
metal object.
Using this method
separating straps
after recovery will be
extremely difficult.
Inserting an object such
as rolled towel will allow
enough slack in the joints
to separate the straps.
