HD Spike & Reel Settings:
On HD spike drags, start with five chain links hanging
from the bottom drag arm slot (this is a starting point for
the worst conditions). The cleaner the ground, the

shorter the pull chain may be pulled.
Note: Make sure

that the drag is never pulling off of the hang chains. If so,
shorten the pull chains.

1) Adjust the nut (3) so that the spring (4) is just making
contact with the front plate (5).
2) Turn the nut (3) and additional 1" further on the spring
rod to set the springs pre-load.
3) Lengthen the turnbuckle (6) to adjust the front mini
7
shank (7) to run more aggressive or shorten the turn-
buckle to run more passive.
