WARNINGS - SAFE USAGE INSTRUCTIONS
1. This is a lifting device only. Do not move or transport the load while on the jack. The load must
be supported immediately by other appropriate means.
2. Do not overload. Overloading can cause damage to or failure of the jack.
3. Lift only on areas as specified by the manufacturer.
4. This jack is designed for use only on hard level surfaces capable of sustaining the load. Use on
other than hard level surfaces can result in jack instability and possible loss of load.
5. Apply the brakes of vehicle.
6. No person should remain in, on, or get bodily under a load that is being jacked or is supported
only by a jack.
7. The safety valve being adjusted and sealed by the manufacturer shall not be additionally
adjusted.
8. Failure to heed these warnings may result in loss of load, damage to jack, and/or failure
resulting in personal injury or property damage.
9. Maintenance and repair of jack may only take place when not working.
Assembly
Seize cylinder with both hands (mind the fingers). Place piston rod in hole and tighten the wing screw (64).
Place pumping handle in tipping gear (14) and screw locking screw (10) completely into locking slot in
handle.
Use of the jack
Lifting:
Lift and pump pumping handle over its entire arc of operation until jack has reached the
required position. For a high-lift, lift load to maximum with the scissors saddle, support it, then
lift the load by the cylinder saddle.
Lowering:
Pull handle and turn it carefully clockwise.
Transport
When transporting jack, lock the handle against the stop block (66) by pressing down the nut (73) and then
pull handle backwards. The jack can now be transported as a sack truck on 2 big wheels.
Maintenance
Every day: Inspect jack for damage.
Monthly: Lubricate all mechanical parts.
Yearly: Inspect for abnormal wear and tear and lubricate all mechanical parts.
Refilling of oil: Check the oil level with the jack in its lowest position and cylinder in vertical position. The
oil level should be up to lower edge of filling plug (68).
Quantity of oil: 0,5 l - IMPORTANT: Too much oil might cause imperfect pump function.
Any good hydraulic oil of viscosity 10°-32°cST/40°C can be used. - NEVER USE BRAKE FLUID!
Troubleshooting
1. The jack does not lift to maximum height. Check oil-level See "Maintenance."
2. Bad pump function (half strokes): Vakuum in the tank. Loosen the filling plug and let any excess oil run
out of the filling hole.
3. The jack lowers too slowly: Loosen the nuts (45) 1 - 2 turns clockwise thus making the clearance
between release bracket (16) and pumping handle (11) suitable (2-4 mm) with the handle in its locked
position. IMPORTANT: Check that the release shaft (30) does not rotate.
4. Ventilation of air in lifting cylinder: Pump jack to semi-height. Turn jack upside down, and place it to be
supported by cylinder. Lower jack by turning pump handle.
Apart from the above, faults may arise after intensive use due to worn seals, which then must be replaced
by new seals.
Destruction:
When the jack after several years is worn and must be dismantled, the oil must be drained off and legally
disposed of.
