Warning
!
• Do not set the splitter address to 0, 1 and 9 to avoid system error.
• Address 1 is used for the Central Unit.
Audio Unit Connection
Up to 5 audio units can be connected to each splitter. As the splitter is only equipped with 3 terminal boards for audio unit
connection, connect 1–2 units in parallel.
Remove the push-in terminal board from the audio unit connectors and connect a two-wire. Maintain polarity to make the audio
units work properly. Refer to the splitter and audio unit labels for correct polarity.
Requirements
• Connect no more than 2 audio units to one terminal board.
• If you use multicore cables, always use a pair. Pair wires are mutually twisted in common UTP cables.
• If you use special cables (to the cabin), use the neighboring cables making sure that the closest surrounding cables are not
a source of interference (e.g. power wires, video signal, etc.).
Recommendations
• Do not lead the bus in a close vicinity of power cables, via a long distance in particular.
• You can branch the bus, especially to shorten the total length of all sections.
Voltage
The bus is electrically isolated from the phone line circuits according to the EN60950 requirements and shows only low voltage that
cannot cause an electrical accident.
Lift Blocking Function Connection
The blocking function is based on the contact opening whenever a phone line (PSTN, GSM, UMTS) error occurs or the 2N® Lift8
Central Unit batteries are almost depleted. Connect the contact to the relevant input of the lift / lift group control electronics. It is
the task of the control electronics to ensure that all the running lifts reach the nearest station and open their doors when the contact
opens.
!
Caution
This function may be mandatory depending on the applicable regulations in the country and time of installation.
Terminating Resistor Cautions
• A 3-pin termination resistor setting jumper is located between the main bus connection and the lift number setting. The jumper is
connected to the termination resistor switch-on position in the first and last devices (Central Unit, splitter or I/O module) connected
to the bus.
• The jumper must be set to the off position in any device that is not the first or last on the bus.
• By factory default, the jumper at the termination resistor is set to the off position.
