Setting Up the Server to Recognize the Logical Units
The following shows the output of ioscan (LegacyView) when ETERNUS AF/DX storage systems are di-
rectly connected to system.

When the ETERNUS AF/DX storage systems are connected for the first time, the device file (for exam-
ple, /dev/dsk/c4t0d0) sometimes may not be created.
If this happens, use the "insf" command to create the device file. Specify the hardware path name as
follows, and execute.
# insf -H hw_path_to_device -e
The device file is displayed in the following format.

X: Position of Fibre Channel card
Y: Target number (0 to 15)
Z: LUN (0 to 7)
