Creating the Logical Volumes
To create logical volumes, use the "smit" command.

Execute the "smit" command.
The [System Management] menu is displayed.

Select in the following order:
(1)
[System Storage Management (Physical & Logical Storage)]
(2)
[Logical Volume Manager]
(3)
[Logical Volume]
(4)
[Add a Logical Volume]

Specify a [VOLUME GROUP name].
Either type a name in the [Entry Fields], or press the [F4] key to select a name from the list.
