Basic connection guidelines and parameters for a connection

between the management computer and ETERNUS DX



IP-address/Subnet mask ETERNUS MNT Port

Default 192.168.1.1 / 255.255.255.0



Set a fixed IP address for the computer to be connected to ETERNUS

•

Needs to within the same IP address subnet with the ETERNUS MNT Port

(for example 192.168.1.2)



Connect the LAN port of the computer to the ETERNUS MNT Port

Direct connection with normal or crossed cable



Internet Explorer 6.0, 7.0 or 8.0
