5. Issues and Troubleshooting

Issue

AAQ Controller is not configured

to use the Romantis modem

No communication with the

modem

The system does not find the

target satellite.

Romantis Modem / Router

Description

Device window does not display

"Romantis" as Device In Use.

Error popup during acquire

process "Acquire Failed Waiting

For Device Signal".

Device Window Comm. Status

shows "Not Connected".

Antenna fails to return a

received lock Rx signal.

And/or

Error message "Invalid signal for

peaking"

And/or

Error message "All Signal Sources

tried With No Valid Signal

Detected"

Corrective Action

Verify proper installation of the

modem/router module (section

2.2 of this document).

Verify Romantis is selected as

the Scan, Coarse, and Fine

Source for the current Target.

(section 3.2 of this document)

Check that the modem is

powered on.

Check all Ethernet cables and

connections.

Check the communication

configuration settings (sections

2.3.2 and 3.1 of this document).

Check all RF cables and

connections.

Check that the system has a valid

Heading, Longitude, and

Latitude.

Check that the modem has the

correct options file or is

configured for the current

Target.

Check all Scan and Peaking

parameters in the Signal tab of

the Configuration Window (see

the AAQ Users Manual for more

information.)
