Getting started with Wi-Fi

Connect to Wi-Fi

Important

Please follow these steps only when your

BT Total Broadband has been activated.

Using Wi-Fi will allow you to make

BT Broadband Talk calls and to browse the

web and check emails at super fast speeds.

You can connect to Wi-Fi using your BT

Home Hub or BT FON hotspots.

Connect your handset to your BT Home Hub

If your BT handset and BT Home Hub

arrived together as part of the same order

your handset will connect automatically

once your hub is up and running.

However, you need to follow the

instructions below if:

• The handset was purchased alone to

use with an existing BT Home Hub

• You ordered multiple handsets

• You wish to connect your handset at

someone else's BT Home Hub

1. Move close to your BT Home Hub that is

switched on and working correctly.

2. Select Wi-Fi icon on Home Screen

and then select Comm Manager.

3. Scroll to

and check whether there

is an orange cross through it. If there is,

press Enter (the silver centre button) and

the cross will disappear. Wi-Fi is now on.

4. Select Settings (right soft key) then

WLAN settings then Wi-Fi. All available

wireless hubs are displayed.

Scroll DOWN and select your BT Home Hub.

Your Hub's name (known as SSID) is shown.

If you see more than one BT Home Hub,

highlight the one that matches the SSID on

the grey label on the back of your hub.
